The centre –  treated its first patients in October 2012 and on the 7th September 2015 and a little less than three years since opening, the Gamma Knife Centre at QRSC has treated its 400th patient. Rapidly establishing itself as an important centre delivering stereotactic radiosurgery  and providing a key resource to increasing access to patients to this advanced technology the centre is also undertaking a wide range of research.

QSRC is one of only seven Gamma Knife centres in the UK. This advanced form of radiotherapy known as stereotactic radiosurgery offers significant advantages.

In welcoming reaching this landmark, Lynne Brooks a Director of QSRC Ltd, a partner in the centre said “Our focus in on providing a patient focused service and to enable clinicians to allow their patients  access to the very latest technology. The team at QSRC is delivering exceptional patient care as evidenced from the feedback we receive from patients.
