An independent review of patient feedback questionnaires has provided evidence of the excellent service being provided by the team at the Gamma Knife Centre at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery. Scores averaging above 9 out of 10 were recorded in all categories covering review of the service, information, treatment and staff from a sample of 65 patients representing some 60% over the period. Scoring highest was helpfulness of staff at 9.9 out of 10.

In welcoming the results Pauline Richardson, Centre Manager paid tribute to the team “We are very pleased that patient feedback is overwhelmingly positive. All of the staff and consultants work hard to provide an excellent service to each and every patient and this is central to our ethos. As well as the statistical data we are delighted by the feedback comments being received by patients. We are committed to continuing to deliver and are constantly seeking to adopt improvement and best practice to ensure our high standards continue to be met”.

Some of the feedback comments provided by patients are provided here.

Since opening in October 2012 the centre has rapidly established itself as a centre of choice amongst referrers and patients and as important resource for clinical research with several project and trials underway.
