On the 4th February its World Cancer Day – a day that unites people, communities and entire countries to raise awareness and take action. It is led by the Union for International Cancer Control. Which has a thousand members from across 162 countries,

Cancer is a global challenge. In 2018, 18 million people world-wide were diagnosed with cancer. In the UK alone, more than 360,000 people are diagnosed with cancer every year – that’s nearly 990 people every day.

At QSRC we are proud to offer treatment to patients suffering from brain tumours and be part of the global effort against cancer. Our recently installed new Gamma Knife Icon has allowed us to treat larger tumours and promises to be a significant breakthrough in the treatment of brain tumours.We encourage all to raise awareness of this global event and to support the work of the many charities which undertake vital work to beat cancer
